CONFIGURATION MANAGER

Responsibilities

J2E Technology is seeking a Configuration Manager to provide Configuration Management (CM) support to NIWC Pacific Tactical Data Link Consolidated ISEA. The CM Specialist will have a minimum of 5 years of configuration management experience with C4I systems and the ability to write or revise CM plans, standard operating procedures, and CCB charters. This position will review existing CM processes and recommend modifications, as required, to gain process efficiencies and alignment with enterprise wide processes and policies. These recommendations, once approved, shall be incorporated into existing CM documents or be prepared as applicable documentation. The CM Specialist will assist in developing recommendations for changes to CM policy, processes, procedures and tools to support more effective CM execution. This position will assist in the preparation of CM training materials and provide CM training, as required, to personnel and team staff.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following;

  • Developing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining CM processes.

  • Utilizing best business practices to implement process improvements.

  • Establishing and maintaining CM Data in CMRPO.

  • Providing support to Systems of Systems CM processes.

  • Recommending updates to CM policy documents.

  • Leading technical documentation reviews.

POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD AND FUNDING

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of related experience in a DoD environment OR a minimum of eight (8) years of additional experience in lieu of degree.

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant professional, DoD CM experience.

  • CM Certification from CMPIC or CMII desired

Work Experience and Skills

  • Experience with the SPAWAR LCCM OSP, PEO C4I LCCMIM, and NIWC PAC CM Guidebook desirable.

  • Experience with CMPRO highly desirable.

  • Experience with authoring CM processes and procedures.

  • Experience with conducting configuration audits and enforcing the following of the defined CM processes.

  • Experience with configuration management on both software and hardware configuration items.

  • Ability to enforce configuration policies and escalate as appropriate for non-conformities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Clearance Requirements

  • Secret Security Clearance verifiable in JPAS.
